Blogging Hacks: The 5 Blogging Tools To Take You To The Top

Blogging for business can be super rewarding, but also super time consuming if you are trying to do it all on your own.

Aside from creating great content, you are also responsible for promotion, providing amazing photography, web design, coding and more. As a mom, you started your blog as a way to have a business and more time with your family. Yet, all your family time is slipping away in all of the extras.

Super fun, right?

I have totally been in your shoes mama! Guess what though? Thanks to some of my favorite blogging tools, you can get back some major time blocks in your day!

I managed to gain some of that time back in my own day, and thus, I want to help you to do the same. Therefore, here are my top 5 blogging tools to grow your blog and gain back your time.

Tailwind

If you were to walk a day in my shoes as a blogger, one thing you would find out rather quickly is that I live off of of schedulers.

One of my very favorite schedulers is Tailwind. Tailwind allows me to schedule pins to be pinned on Pinterest, and makes growing my Pinterest profile and sharing my content with my readers super easy.

Plus, even though Tailwind is a paid subscription, it is totally affordable for the amount of time it saves me. For only $15/mo, I get to schedule 400 pins to be pinned at the optimal time to grow my profile.

Tailwind has also rolled out with schedule posting for Instagram, though I have not played with that feature much yet.

You can try Tailwind, for one month for FREE by clicking here, and see for yourself why it is such a helpful blogging tool.

PicMonkey

When it comes to creating beautiful graphics for my posts, I turn to PicMonkey.

While many bloggers also use Canva, I have found PicMonkey to be much more efficient for creating stunning pins and feature images for my posts.

This is another blogging tool that comes with a monthly subscription cost, though for the $7.99 it costs me to have a quick, efficient graphic editor, I will take it.

PicMonkey has a super user friendly interface, and is fairly self explanatory, making it perfect for the novice, or seasoned mom blogger.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is probably my most used blogging tool, namely because I am addicted to my analytics.

(This is the part where I would like to tell you do not be like me. However, I know most all other blog mom’s I have encountered have been analytic addicted for at least some time in their blogging career, so junkie on moms)

Not only can I check to see how many visitors I am have on my site (LIVE….you can see them LIVE!), but I can separate the viewers by media, location, or even post.

So I can totally see just those readers who are reading my posts from Pinterest, or check just those who are reading me from their cell.

Pretty cool, right?

For those who really want to become addicts, Google Analytics even has an app.

You’re welcome.

Buffer

Remember how I said I like to schedule things? Buffer helps to me to do just that on my Twitter profile!

I never used to be a huge Twitter user, but over the last couple months it has become a secret obsession of mine. This being said, playing in the Twitter universe is all about putting the right content out there at the right time in order to get your audience to engage.

You may be the most relate-able mom blogger on the planet, but if you are putting out tweets at all the wrong times, your voice is going to be lost in the crowd.

Buffer however, is the blogging tool that helps to make sure you put that great content out at the optimal time for your audience. Simply put your tweet into their app, and off you go! You can check it out here.

Facebook Scheduler

Great news mama’s! This blogging tool doesn’t require an extra app, download or account!

The Facebook Post Scheduler on my business page has saved my butt on more than one occasion. Thanks to this feature, I get to go in a couple times a week, set up my posts for the next couple of days, and let it all handle itself.

Then, I only have to worry about going back to engage with my followers. Ten minutes ahead of time for multiple days worth of posts?

Yes please.

Crazy Mom Talk

While these apps and features are not going to make or break your blog, with a bit of work on the forefront, these blogging tools can save your sanity.

Yes mama, I know that putting the money into a few of these can be scary. Honestly, I totally fought having to sink any kind of money into my blog in the beginning. I am telling you though, if you are just starting out, do yourself a favor and build these tools into your blogging budget now.

The amount of time that you save on a daily basis alone is well worth the loss of your 3 extra Starbucks trips per month. So drink your coffee at home mama, and revel in knowing that you have the extra hours in your day to build a brand and simultaneously be a mom!
